Çelebi-Nas Airport Services India, which serves Mumbai airport, won the “Best Station Performance in Ground Handling Services” award for one of its customers, Bahrain Air (BAB), by making it possible for that carrier's Mumbai station to outperform all of its other stations. As a result of an evaluation made as of September 2009, the Bahrain Air Mumbai Station ranked first among its peers in the conduct of ground handling services. In his announcement of the results to all airports, BAB ground handling services head manager Nasser A. Aziz Bin Hamad congratulated the BOM station for having received the highest points on the basis of such criteria as zero errors in security and accidents, on-time performance, excess baggage charges, customer services, correct baggage handling, and short-distance baggage delivery. In his statement Mr Hamad also said that everyone appreciated the station's efforts and that he wished them continued success.
Bahrain Air's station manager Chryslnn Gonsalves for his part thanked the entire Çelebi-Nas team for their high-quality service and successful performance. In a letter sent to Çelebi-Nas chief of operations Cem Şensöz, Mr Gonsalves said “We also extend our thanks for the support you have given to Bahrain Air personnel and for your forbearance in allowing us to use your offices so that we might conduct our operations without any problems.” He also expressed his best wishes for continued collaboration in the future.
Having been informed of Çelebi-Nas's success, ÇGH General Manager S. Samim Aydın sent a written message to the Çelebi Mumbai station in which he congratulated them for their excellent service.
